BTS: Yan Pei-Ming: A Burial in Shanghai

Role: Director, Producer
Creative Partners: Brandon Mosquera Co-Director/Editor
Client: MCASD
Agency: Double-Double Creative Partners
Year: 2025

Alongside collaborator Brandon Mosquera, I directed a behind-the-scenes film for MCASD’s exhibition Yan Pei-Ming: A Burial in Shanghai. Over the course of two days, we documented the curatorial and operations teams—art handlers, conservators, and support staff—as they unboxed, assembled, and carefully installed the monumental triptych. The film captures the thoughtful choreography and teamwork that goes into preparing a major exhibition—moments that are usually hidden from public view.
